FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dec. 19, 2026
As the year draws to a close, a season often associated with reflection and looking ahead, the West Plains Chamber of Commerce is announcing a leadership transition.
Executive Director Deanna Williams has announced that she will be stepping down from her role and will remain with the Chamber during the transition period to support the Board of Directors, staff, and members.
Williams began working with the West Plains Chamber in 2017, serving as Director of Operations before stepping into the Executive Director role in 2024. During her time with the organization, she worked closely with the Board, Chamber members, and community partners to support local businesses and strengthen the Chamber’s role as a steady resource and advocate for the West Plains region.
During Williams’ tenure, the Chamber has continued to serve as a central resource for businesses across the West Plains, providing networking opportunities, advocacy, and programming that support economic stability and long-term growth. The Chamber plays a key role in bringing together businesses, community partners, and local leaders to address shared challenges and opportunities. As the organization looks ahead, it remains focused on fostering strong relationships and supporting a connected, informed business community.
Williams is stepping down to shift her professional focus to her flower farm, Whistle Punk Flowers. This change reflects a thoughtful reassessment of long-term priorities and a desire to fully commit her time and energy to the next stage of her work, while ensuring the Chamber continues to receive dedicated leadership and support. The timing and structure of the leadership change were established in coordination with the Board to provide clarity and stability for the organization.
The Chamber’s Board of Directors will oversee the search for the next Executive Director and will share updates as the process moves forward. The Chamber enters this period from a position of strength, with engaged leadership, active membership, and a clear mission moving into the coming year.
The Chamber extends its appreciation to Williams for her years of service and leadership, as well as to its members, partners, and community for their continued involvement and support.
Additional information regarding the leadership transition will be shared as it becomes available.
